We had an excellent day with the kids today. They spent all day, including napping, with us. In the afternoon we played music and danced. Jessica is holding a couple of traditional Ugandan maracas or shakers that I bought which she loves.
She was in such a good mood that when we went outside to play she played catch with me for about 30 minutes. When we came back in, she SPOKE to Jasmine, naming some farm animals for her. Those were the first words she has said to us. Generally she just doesn't reply, sometimes nods or points.
How wonderful! Looks like you and Jasmine are making headway establishing an important bond and building trust with them. They're so lucky to have your family as their own. We wish you all the best!
